Hello, i use minimserver (latest version) and minimstreamer (latest version) for transcoding flac and dsd to wave. I use upmpdcli (1.3.6) on my metrum acoustics ambre. When i try to play wave (through transcoding) i have a shuffle (souffle) instead of music. If i remove the transcoding (flac reading) no problem, i have music.
I tried the same transcoding on another system (dCS Network Bridge which is not using UPMPDCLI) and i have no problem with the wave reading through transcoding. Not sure it comes from UPMPDCLI but at least it seems.

2019-01-01upmpdcli does not touch the audio stream, this is quite probably an MPD issue. What MPD version are you running, and on what system ?

2019-01-01Actually, you don't seem to have any 'decoder' for wav. I don't know what MPD is trying to play this with. Maybe the raw pcm input. In which case, it's not really surprising that it's not working. Maybe try enabling ffmpeg and see where this goes. Audiofile and sndfile should also be able to handle wav, but I kind of remember that at least one of them has issues for playing wav from an HTTP stream. Can't remember which, but you could try enabling them one by one and see which works best.
