In 1.2.11 on Linux, there's no way to quit upplay, except for killing it through system tools.
Pressing CTRL+Q or clicking on File -> Quit only closes the window, but a tray icon persists. Right clicking on the tray icon and then selecting Close doesn't close upplay.
This behavior is independent from the preference "Close to Tray", i.e. that preference has no effect.
This seems to be a regression, as the problem was not present in upplay 1.2.9

2017-11-09Hi,
I am going to need more precisions about your environment and the conditions (is upplay connected to a renderer, etc.), because I can't reproduce this in any way.

2017-12-19Sorry, I didn't see that you requested feedback on this.
This problem occurs on Gentoo Linux. Upplay is compiled against Qt 5.7.1.
It happens both if upplay is connected to a renderer or not. There is no log output when I try to close upplay.
Do you need any other information?

2017-12-21I can't reproduce the issue on Ubuntu, Fedora or Debian, so there is probably something special in your environment. What desktop and qt versions are you using ?
OOps, qt version was given above. What desktop though ?

2017-12-21I'm using KDE. To be precise, Plasma 5.10.5 and KDE-Framework 5.40.0.

2017-12-21I could reproduce the problem under OpenSUSE KDE. This appears to be related to KDE actually, because the same Qt version does not exhibit the problem under other desktops. So I have added a small piece of code to force exit in this case. It will be in the next version, or you can rebuild 1.2.11 with this patch:
