Is it possible to add to OSP other markdown engines, like the one used in Redmine? The formats of the wiki/readme/ticket files is very different than the one that we are used to (redmine) and thus it is an added effort to learn a new format. Additionally, direct porting of the wiki pages from our previous site to OSP is a pain because it would require deep transformations in formatting.
Another issue: Most preview page mode on your wikis show very unformatted text (especially when including links) which is correctly formatted when saved.

2014-02-03Hi
Two issues then:
1. Issues with text preview and links
1. Support other markup formats. In your case Textile (redmine)I'll have to get back to you on (1.), after I do some testing.
As for (2.), it is unlikely we will add support to other markup formats, Markdown support is a part of almost all of Allura's tools (comments, forum, wiki, etc).
There are some good tools to convert Textile to Markdown, or alternatively Textile to HTML and them to Markdown. Pandoc is probably your best option:
- An online version of pandoc for quick testing
- You'll need a recent version of pandoc for this (1.8 I think)
Hope this helps.
PS: as I was editing this comment, I notice some of the issues you mentioned for (1.)

2014-04-07Hi
Concerning the markdown preview issue we are evaluating a is a fix in staging for this. The problem seems to be caused by a CSS rule that was causing the links in the preview to float out of place

2014-04-14Hi,
A fix has been submitted into production for the markdown issue. If no problems arise I will be closing this shortly.
