Consortium Call on WP3: Organised by WIT
Attendees:
WIT: Leigh, Dónal, Eric, Sinead (briefly)
FOKUS: Robert, Lukasz, Johannes
Ambiesense: Hans
Betapond: Philip
CGI: Beatriz, Susana
Velti: Meletis, Timotheos
NTUA: Teti, Iosif, Michael
Agenda: Agenda was circulated beforehand by Leigh
Management Issues:
Eric discussed the management aspects of the call. Initial Discussion was on the Advisory Groups:
- Philip said he had received multiple contact recommendations from partners. Suggested that partners email them a preferred candidate that they have a good working relationship with. At this stage we need to go for people we know and get some traction, additional companies can be sought after when we have a body of work in place
* AP: All, to reply to Philip with our preferred contact - Philip also mentioned having an information pack available to bring to a target.
- Leigh suggested that the blog posts might be a good start
* AP: Hans to send a document today of a draft letter to approach their contacts.
Eric then provided an update on FIA to get people thinking about it, a teleco for later this evening had already been planned
The issue of the next partner meeting for June was discussed next:
- AmbieSense or CGI to host the meeting.
- Hans to talk to Ayse
- Robert suggested anytime in the first two weeks of June due to holidays
- NTUA have holidays in August so June or July suits them
- CGI, WIT and Betapond have no preference
- Consensus was thus reached on early June.
- A Doodle poll and follow up mails will occur
The next issue tabled was a concern regarding the number of calls within the project
- Robert suggested having a stand up per task and one weekly WP3 standup
- More in depth discussions can happen in an ad hoc manner via Skype
- Hans wished for the minutes to be uploaded to Google Docs. Eric said that we will continue to use Redmine which already has minutes on it.
The final management issue was the review schedule for WP3
- It was agreed by all to follow an aggressive schedule and have fast turnaround on reviews
- T3.1 will be reviewed partly by WIT and FOKUS due to their commitments in the other tasks. Ambisense will provide a more thorough review
- T3.2 will be reviewed by Betapond and NTUA. VELTI also volunteered a review due to the cross over between 3.1 and 3.2
- T3.3 was allocated to Betapond. A 2nd reviewer is still sought, CGI volunteered but as they are involved in the Task it would not make sense to have them review it for quality purposes.
Task 3.1
Iosif Presented 3.1
- Overview of partner involvement was presented
- Asked for feedback from partners where possible
- Good meetings held with VELTI already
- Service Enablers progressing Generic API
- Johannes commented on the Authentication and Authorization regarding scope of what is defined within interactions. This was a follow on discussion to emails sent already.
- Hans had a query about applications and how the API would be resolved.
- Iosif clarified its not the goal of the task to be implementation specific
- CGI were not too sure what a Graph Reasoner was. This was not clarified further, question was asked in chat so unsure if NTUA picked it up
- Iosif mentioned the platform should support existing objects
- Meletis urged us to find a good middle ground
- Iosif re-terated the profile API and the need for feedback
- Iosif concluded with the proposed ToC and action list + deadlines.
* AP: Iosif to organise a follow on call to discussion issues outlined today.
Task 3.2
Leigh presented 3.2 and Lukasz and Johannes contributed with the FOKUS contribution
- Overview of progress to date
- Work in progress includes data flow and architectural style analysis. Issue of multiple cloudlets under consideration as well
- Leigh presented an XMPP overview
- Comparison between that of the Cloudlet and XMPP presented
- Several slides showed the potential links and cross overs that an XMPP style would bring
- Use case data flow presented briefly
- Agressive work plan and review schedule presented
- Lukasz presented their thoughts on multiple cloudlets
- Project goal is to have one cloudlet per user but we should consider multiple
- Projects agile nature facilitates this, we might revisit it in 12 months time.
- Leigh suggested to architecturally investigate multiple cloudlets even if the diagrams don't make it into the final deliverable
- Johannes presented the data flow attempt and discovered how complicated it was
- A lot of questions and outstanding issues were presented particularly around data representation
* AP: FOKUS to have a teleco with WIT to flesh out these issues and then bring it back to the consortium
Task 3.3
Lukasz presented 3.3
- Due to time being up Lukasz gave a brief overview of the ToC and the action plan
Task AOB
- Iosif raised an issue regarding identity within the project which needs to be followed up
- A query language was commented on by Iosif which needs a teleco to resolve
- AP: All partners to upload slides
- Leigh announced he was leaving the TSSG and the OPENi project :( He wished everyone the best of luck and has signed up to the mailing list :)
