|
Description |
The COMPOSE project aims at enabling new services that can seamlessly integrate real and virtual worlds through the convergence of the Internet of Services with the Internet of Things. COMPOSE will achieve this through the provisioning of an open and scalable marketplace infrastructure, in which smart objects are associated to services that can be combined, managed, and integrated in a standardised way to easily and quickly build innovative applications. |

LEADS |
Period |

Coordinator |
Universite de Neuchatel (Switzerland) |
URL |
http://www.leads-project.eu |
Description |
LEADS is based on the premise that, instead of maintaining data in-house in dedicated data centres, it is both economically and ecologically better to store it in a shared infrastructure. Its objective is to build a decentral-ized Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) framework that runs on an elastic collection of micro-clouds. |
LEADS will provide means to gather, store, and query publicly available data, as well as process this data in real-time. In addition, the public data can be enriched with private data maintained on behalf of a client, and the processing of the real-time data can be augmented with historical versions of the public and private data. |

Period |
01/10/2012 - 30/09/2015 |
Coordinator |
STIFTELSEN SINTEF (Norway) |
URL |
http://www.cloudscale-project.eu/ |
Description |
CloudScale will provide an engineering approach for building scalable cloud applications and services. CloudScale will support Software as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) providers |
(a) to design their software for scalability and |
|
(b) to swiftly identify and gradually solve scalability problems in existing applications. CloudScale will enable the modelling of design alternatives and the analysis of their effect on scalability and cost. |
|
Best practices for scalability will further guide the design process. |
|
Additionally, CloudScale will provide tools and methods that detect scalability problems by analysing code. Based on the detected problems, CloudScale will offer guidance on the resolution of scalability problems. |

Description |
PaaSage will deliver an open and integrated platform, to support both deployment and design of Cloud applications, together with an accompanying methodology that allows model-based development, configuration, optimisation, and deployment of existing and new applications independently of the existing underlying Cloud infrastructures. Specifically it will deliver a CLOUD modelling language, an IDE (Integrated development environment), execution-level mappers and interfaces and a metadata database. |
