WP2 Kick-off Telco November 8th 2012 (13:00-15:00 CET)

Discussion / decisions for T2.1-T2.3:
  • Each task proceeds its work independently but there are common deadlines with regard to major deliverables’ releases and continuous technical reviews / feedback by the consortium during their preparation. Milestones:
    • Finalize ToC and assignments of D2.1-D2.3: 15/11/2012
    • 1st draft of D2.1-D2.3: 10/12/2012
    • Discussion of D2.1-D2.3: Main conclusions, issues during the Athens project meeting on 13/12/2012
    • Final draft of D2.1-D2.3 for internal final technical review and check: 21/1/2013
    • Final check from technical reviewers: 25/1/2013 – reviewers to be assigned
    • Final D2.1-D2.3 to be submitted to the EC: 30/1/2013
  • T2.1 / D2.1 was presented by NTUA. The initial version of D2.1 Cloud-based Services Analysis Report together with deadlines / assignments are available at: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DoZADcY5ytzbddEk5WvDmnpvyP2PViAlfzWxPLYjpFY/edit
    • Next steps: Initial categorization & list of services (by NTUA): 12/11/2012; Feedback & Updates on list (by ALL): 16/11/2012
  • T2.2 / D2.2 was presented by TSSG. You may find attached the proposed table of contents.
    • Next steps: Provide more details on ToC and assignments: 15/11/2012
  • T2.3 / D2.3 was not discussed since LOGICA, leader of the task, was not present in the call. The ToC should be circulated asap and finalized by 15/11/2012.
  • Emphasis to be put on providing summary tables and figures that provide in a visual way the evaluation of approaches / technologies / etc. found in the state-of-the art rather than mere text analyzing in depth each approach.
  • Study results from FP7 1.2 projects. Incorporate 1st feedback / collaboration opportunities that emerged from the Collaboration Meeting in October (@Eric and Claudia: please share with us your first impressions which are the relevant projects)
  • T2.1-T2.3 with regard to standardization. It is too early for D2.1-D2.3 to produce results that will be mature enough to be presented in a standardization committee.
  • Adopt a common template (i.e. including introduction, methodological approach, conclusions)
  • Access to preliminary results to be ensured for the whole consortium, not only for the task participants.
    +Key issues along D2.1-D2.3:+
  • Concise text to be published as white paper with key take-aways for the Design and Implementation
  • Method of collaborative work within the consortium: Wiki? Documents?
  • Ensure results’ validation beyond the consortium
    • Through online discussions in LinkedIn
    • Through engagement of the Advisory Groups (What, Who, How, When) ?
      +Discussion / decisions for T2.4-T2.5:+
  • T2.4-T2.5 will start earlier than the DoW and will be aligned with an agile approach:
    • T2.4 to include a short Vision analysis, 10-15 high level stories, a small number of high level non-functional considerations and user both for the platform and the apps
    • T2.5 to include Back log of coarse-grained/detailed stories, early complexity estimations and definition of done criteria.
  • An initial approach to T2.4 was presented by AMBIE in the attached slides. An initial approach to T2.5 was discussed by FOKUS.

    • 1st draft of D2.5: 31/1/2013
