Progress

Claudia wrote to Eric and Sinead regarding how to proceed with the deliverables.
Sinead asked for our estimations for having minimal features working.
The want code available for the first deliverable.
At the end of the call an estimation for every SE is required.

  • Biometric SE

We are still working on recognition algorithm with a picture.
We are implementing from scratch due to licences.
For the time being there is nothing running.
We need at least 3 weeks (mid May) to have something quite easy implemented.

  • Health SE

As it was told last week, the REST API is available.
We can retrieve information (height and weight) from Velti's cloudlet.
The plan is having a very first version for this SE by the end of the month.

  • Recommender SE

At first idea there were needed several cloudlets.
Since this is posponed, a BD is being managed in order to store and retrive information.
They are working with places (from FourSquare).
By the end of the month they hope having a dummy recommender, with no connection to the cloudet or platform.

  • Advertising SE

On order to have a prototype, they need one month upon the platform is stable and the cloudlet integration available.
What can be delivered for the end of the month are the UI mockups and the overall algorithms, a dummy interface.
More time is required if the inferface hast to be implemented.

  • Timeline SE

They need one month for the first version and one week for the report.
They have a cloudlet emulation.
Hans asks for what kind of data are going to be shown in the Timeline.

  • Analitycs SE

They have CouchBase and Hapoop working. A lot of configuration has been needed so, Philip has written a Vagrant file in order to automate this.
We now know couchbase and hadoop can integrate.
They want a front-end for Statistics for every user.
For a demo, one month will be required.

Next steps

Every SE leader will specify their SE requirements from WP4.
A link in Redmine will be created to fill these requirements.
Claudia will drop an email as soon as she has an answer from Eric/Sinead regarding the possible delay for deliverables.
