For security and privacy reasons, it would be very beneficial to always use HTTPS for authenticated users.

    Agree, I logged in twice without realising the padlock is missing in the browser.

    We are looking into this. We are buying new SSL certificates and plan on working this out when we get them (also for issue #111).

    Login should now go through HTTPS. Provided no issues take place I'm ready to close this issue.
