It seems that at the moment, tickets can not be edited, at least not for the creator. However, adding labels or clarifying a description would be a very welcomed feature.
(It seems however that I can, at least in TIMBUS, edit comments made by other people, which would be of much less importance...)

The problem with allowing the creators to edit the ticket afterwards is that they would be able to change the description and other properties (milestone, status, etc), which would be undesirable.
By default only users in the developers group can edit the tickets. Depending on the project settings this may be changed - but allowing creators to do it would be too permissive for some projects. It is unlikely that we will change this behaviour.
