OpenID authentication is not working, because the LDAP auth backend expects a password and OpenID users have none.

2013-04-09The problem is that creating a new account from an OpenID there is no password. Naturally the OpenLDAP backend is not very keen on this. Internally this fails when manipulating the password (that does not exist).
