The vf-OS Open Application Development Framework is a set of components for supporting the service developers with the functionalities needed to define, design, develop, and orchestrate manufacturing-related services, on the development of vApps.

This Major vf-OS Component is subdivided in lower-level modules:

  • Software Development Kit (SDK) defines and develops the application development environment in which all vf-OS Applications can be developed. This includes SDK documentation;
  • System Dashboard develops system applications similar to Windows control panel and task manager for monitoring and adapting system resources;
  • Frontend Environment provides a framework which facilitates the composition of Application front ends;
  • Studio IDE to allow the easy development and integration of the different applications;
  • Developer Engagement Hub assists developers via a Centralised developer communications center.

Additionally, this page includes a Tickets entry to handle specific issues regarding the SDK as a whole (which may include management, integration, new features, etc.).
