When I tried to subscribe my issues it did not work.

When I tried to subscribe issues added by other persons, it also did not work.

So I think it is not working correctly in any way.

I'm seeing a similar issue in this project (osp) but for example I can subscribe to tickets in other projects, .e.g othermessageapi.

Are you already subscribed to all tickets from this tracker (http://opensourceprojects.eu/p/osp/tickets/)?

If that is the case then the button at each individual ticket won't do anything.
If so the problem is (mostly) UI related, we need to:

Either hide the subscribe button for individual items if there is per-tool subscription

Or mark the button differenttly (e.g. like the admin permissions tab)

  Ok, with your answer I believe that it is a UI related problem, because in my subscriptions I have this and is activated:

  So how do I receive notifications about the issues ?
  I didn't receive anything related to your post, so I don't know if it is only related to UI or is also something related to how we receive notifications, right ?
  
  Should the notification be by email ? Or should it be through any internal messaging system ?

Changed the subscribe template to disable the link (when the tool subscription is on). I've also added a class to the tag class="tool_subscribed" - wen can now set a different icon for this in CSS.

Unfortunately (due to the high number of emails) I receive notifications. Will check the email subsystem.
